Regular Meeting 8-13-2026
Riders MC Club Meeting 8-13-2026
7pm An executive meeting took place before the regular meeting to discuss the agenda for the meeting. Board members that were present were Seth, Donny and Rich. New and old business was discussed.
7:33pm the Regular meeting was called to order. 11 members were present.
Because Rich was not present at the last meeting he did not have the opportunity to read the previous minutes. A club member was present at the July meeting and did take notes, but was not present at the August meeting. The minutes from the July meeting will be posted ASAP.
The treasury report was read.
Old Business
- New locks were purchased and placed on the gates.
- The family day went well and the club purchased some food for this event.
- More dirt is needed to cover the containers, we are currently waiting on some clay to be delivered to the club grounds. If it doesn't happen soon, we may take some of our own dirt to cover the top of the containers to make them riddable for the remainder of the year.
- Tentative date for the dual sport ride is the 13th of September, Mike Kime was heading this up, more information to follow.
- Having a time trial at the club grounds for club members was discussed for the summer of 2027 . The proposed plan was to have a time trial once a month for our members. Rich is looking into the cost of the timing equipment and will present a better plan with a cost estimate after the 2026 club enduro wraps up. Again, this would be a "low key" event for members only.
New Business
- We met with our neighbors Amanda and Dean, who own a small farm to the East of the club grounds. It turned into a lengthy discussion. We will present to the club members what was discussed at the next regular club meeting, as we expect more members to be there and we can decide as a group what to do about this situation. We would like to keep a good relationship between us as one of our trails borders their property.
- Can we drag the old windmill out of the weeds and do something with it, or preserve it somehow?
- Mike M. (Family Enduro Chair), Rich, and Seth represented our club in the Mark DeWitt golf outing at McCormick golf club.
- The next regular meeting is September 10th, which will take place at the Sunnyside Pavilion in New Paris, we encourage all members to attend as it will be the last meeting before we begin working on the enduro. Trail work is set to start on September 12th.
