Riders MC Club Regular Minutes 10-8-2026
An executive meeting was held before the regular meeting that started at 6:45pm. The agenda for the regular meeting was discussed and outlined. Board members present included Seth, Donny, Chad Mike and Rich. The purpose of the executive meeting is to streamline the regular meeting.
The Regular meeting was called to order at 7:30pm
Donny read the treasure’s report.
Rich outlined the minutes from the previous meeting.
Old Business- nothing to report as we are enduro focused.
New Business
A new member was introduced, Allen Peachey. Allen stated he wanted a place for his family to enjoy on their dirtbikes. He has not yet decided whether he would like to be a Recreational member or working member. The pros and cons of each membership were discussed, and he will make a decision in the near future. Welcome Allen.
Chad had new flags made for the upcoming enduro weekend. The club is going to cover the cost of the new flags. A motion was made to pay extra to cover the labor for the flags. The motion was brought to the floor and was passed. Chad and Donny are going to work out the details and take care of this. The new flags look great and will last many years to come. Thank you, Chad, for taking care of this.
The race awards are going to be taken care of by Chad for our enduro weekend.
Mike W. is going to handle the port-a-potties. We have used Cripe’s in the past and will do so again for the upcoming race weekend.
Shelia has taken care of the shirts and hoodies design as well as the order for this year. She has sent out an email to the club members for a preorder. Please reach out to her if you would like to place your order.
The annual meeting before our race/enduro weekend will be 10-29-2026. The meeting will take place at the Sunnyside Pavilion in New Paris. The meeting will take place at our normal time, 7:30pm. Please be sure to attend as Tim will be assigning jobs to do during the race and the work day scheduled the Friday before the race weekend.
The last work day before our race weekend is 10-30-2026. If you can schedule the day off from work, it would be great, as this is where our race weekend really comes together. We will meet behind Dewitts at 9am and start prepping for the race. Be sure to use the lane that enters from the field. We would like to keep traffic out of her driveway.
Tim is taking care of getting the online registration. It should be up and running next week.
A motion was made to give a donation to Dewitts for letting us use her property. It was voted on and passed. A check for $1,500 will be made out to the Dewitts after the enduro.
Tim is working with Amy to set up our scoring system. He is also going to contact the sheriff.
Jim B. went to the county commissioners meeting and was given approval to use the abandoned landfill for our race on Sunday. He said the meeting went very well and a lot of good things were said about our club. Thanks Jim. Jim is also working on getting our flip cards in order. He believes we can patch up our flip cards for this year. If we can't, the club can always rent flip charts/cards from D14. He also spoke to Rich B about making some new ones for the future. This will more than likely take place over the winter.
Seth has taken care of ordering our numbers for the weekend.
Most of the club points that are required for a working membership are gained from working on the enduro. Be sure to keep track of your points. You will need to turn this in at the end of the year to receive your discount from your club dues. Read the online constitution to understand how our point system works, it can be found on our website. Before the end of the year, you will be required to submit your season points on our website.
Huge shout out to Mike from Red Powersports for putting on our first adventure ride. Nine riders took part in the day and they put in over a hundred miles. Most of the ride centered around the Mongo Nature Preserve. THANKS MIKE! Mike also wanted to let club members know that on 10-12-2026 there will be a trunk or treat at Red Powersports in Kendallville.
Note from the club secretary- Important information is discussed at our monthly meetings. Please put these meeting dates on your calendar and try to attend. The meetings in and around our enduro weekend are very important. Thank you.
